Červenohorské sedlo

The Červenohorské sedlo ski resort is one of the most famous downhill skiing resorts in northern Moravia. It is a well-known crossroads for winter and summer hiking trails. Červenohorské sedlo is located at an altitude of 1,013 meters above sea level. The downhill slopes start at an altitude of 1,164 meters and end at 862 meters. This location provides the conditions for a high-quality winter season from mid-December to the end of March.

Today, this place ranks among the most famous downhill skiing resorts in Moravia and is also a great starting point and crossroads for ski touring routes. The downhill slopes are served by a four-seater chairlift with a bubble, six ski lifts, and a children’s moving carpet in the ski school. From the chairlift, you can access four slopes, each of which is more than one kilometer long. Visitors can choose between terrain ranging from extremely easy to steep slalom slopes designed for the most advanced skiers. In the Červenohorské sedlo area, visitors will also find all other services, including ski service, storage, rental, ski school, large parking lot, and quality dining and accommodation facilities. The transport capacity is 7,000 people per hour.

Cross-country trails branch out from Červenohorské sedlo on both sides of Hrubý Jeseník. Most of them are machine-groomed. Probably the most popular route for cross-country skiers is along the southern slope of Velký Klínovec, continuing on to Švýcárna and the Praděd area.

The cadastral areas of two municipalities converge at Červenohorské sedlo. These serve as additional high-quality facilities for the resort. In addition to accommodation and catering, Bělá pod Pradědem and Loučná nad Desnou provide accompanying services that cannot be provided to the necessary extent in the limited area of the saddle.
